Welcome

Welcome Service Members, Families and Caregivers to the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire's web site for information, support and resources. The BIANH is a private, non-profit, survivor, family and consumer run organization representing over 5000 NH residents who are experiencing an acquired or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Our mission is to create a better future through brain injury awareness, education, prevention and advocacy. The estimates cite that currently 5.3 million Americans are living with a disability as a result of a brain injury.

Blasts are the leading cause of traumatic brain injury for active duty military service members in Iraq and Afghanistan. A TBI may affect one physically, cognitively, emotionally and behaviorally. A TBI can change the way we think, act and feel in a matter of seconds.

This site is created with the goal of providing support for our service members and families through information and resources to understand brain injury and navigate the system to receive the appropriate care.
