Deployments are stressful, but are also a time for families to grow closer and stronger. Children are found to be resilient, but there is always concern. In helping children, remember to reassure them that the deployed parent is well trained to do their job, that they too have a job as part of a family who supports our troops, and communicate to children simply, at their age level.
